Wisdom teeth

This morning I had my three remaining wisdom teeth removed. After dropping the kids off at school, chele waited in the lobby while I made the dreaded walk to the chair. I had chickened out a couple of weeks ago at having them removed under local anesthesia. Today they stuck a needle in my arm, put a mask over my face, and the next thing I remember is waking up with a mouth full of gauze and an iceback bandage around my head.

I’m off work today and tomorrow recovering. I get the joy of spitting blood. taking hydrocodone and eating soft foods for a day.

I sympathize. Had all four of mine out a couple years ago. They didn’t give me the choice of a local; my bottom molars were impacted and too close to major nerves to risk me suddenly jerking while they were digging them out. I don’t really remember how my recovery went, so it couldn’t have been too bad.
